The monopoly structure of Netflix (or OTT) has had a very good impact on the Korean video production market. Korean producers are passionate and have a good sense of humor. But, systems such as education and production environment are too backward. It was stuck in Korea's unique culture. with the introduction of Netflix, the American production culture naturally spread to Korea, and it seems to create synergy.
Netflix shares crash 37% in a day! Any negative impact in Korea?

Great Answer...thanks for the insight. I see Tving, Watcha, and Wavve are options. I used Wavve but it was complicated a bit and I had to ChromeCast from my PC to view it on my TV...ackward but it worked and the price was 1/2 of what USA streaming services were charging (W11,100 I think).
The one thing I have noticed is Korea is slow to change. Korean Banking still uses so many add ons and ActiveX was such a pain. Korean actors and directors are passionate and its interesting to be here watching history being made.
America is cool and all but it has become to violent and polarized for my tastes. I hope Korea doesn't lose its identity and charm. Western ideas are NOT always the best way. Korea is very safe and genuine and I appreciate how sincere the average Korean is.
